Meet Kinsley your next snuggle buddy! She is a sweet & loving Blenheim cavalier King Charles spaniel that used to live in a barn for breeding. One of her favorite things is to snooze on the couch snuggled close to her foster parents. She is very sweet & is figuring out what safety & love feel like for the first time. Kinsley has become her foster mom’s little shadow following her wherever she goes. She needs a patient, kind, and understanding future home as she adapts to life outside the breeding world. Since being rescued her playful side is coming out more. She loves to do somersaults on the carpet and do stretches/yoga 😂 She loves to run around in our fenced backyard with her foster Cavalier siblings. Kinsley would benefit having another friendly & gentle dog in her future home so she can continue to blossom. Kinsley will do best in a quieter home with no little children since she is nervous around sudden unpredictable situations. Responsible children 10 years old and above would be best for her future home. She is crate trained and has few potty accidents when taken out on a regular basis. No fence is required as she is making great progress walking on a leash. She is not cat tested. She is fully vetted, microchipped, & had a dental completed. Meet your new best friend Geneva! She should be called Jolly because she is always so happy! She is a lover girl & human hugs are her favorite. She is learning how to live in a house & asks for her future family to be patient as she continues to learn. Once asleep she sleeps quietly in her crate at night except for the occasional snoring 😴. She is loving everything about living in a home & is enjoying toy dog bones 🦴 to chew along with bringing dog toys to the couch. Her favorite thing is to just be loved & adored by her humans! She will do best in a house where someone is home with her often as she thrives on human companionship. She is on the larger size for a cavalier, but with regular exercise and nutrition she will feel her very best self! It just means there is more of her to love on ❤️ She has only a few potty accidents when taken outside on a regular schedule. She wants to stay close to her people & follows her foster mom all throughout the house.
Though she is extremely loving & friendly, she still needs lots of patience and understanding as she adapts to her new life. Geneva is not cat tested. She is fully vetted, microchipped, & had a dental completed. Her future home can include responsible older children (elementary age and above) to help her continue to blossom & provide her more love/ attention. She gets along fine with all of the dogs in her foster home, but doesn’t seem to need another dog in her future home. Geneva is such a happy girl & her tails always wagging for us ❤️Anyone would be so lucky to adopt this sweetheart!

Tito is a playful lovebug. He plays hard and loves hard. He loves wrestling with his siblings and then finding someone to climb up along to be held. If he could go with his brother, Whiskey, he'd love that boy out is not a requirement. Tito prefers to be held by holding his feet and his body against your chest. He lives with cats, a dog, and kids and does really well. He's a super good boy.

If you’re looking for a super chill and loyal companion, Donnie is your guy. This super sweet pup would be perfectly happy spending the day cuddled up in your lap or snuggled beside you. He loves to have all the attention and seems to prefer humans over other dogs. He’d do well as an only dog or with another calm pet. He’s starting to run around a bit and play with toys, but he’s a little intimidated by other dogs. His level of energy is fairly low as he prefers cuddling and relaxing over playtime, but some walks for exercise would do him good. Donnie is quite the escape artist - he is able to get out of his pen and by pushing himself under it and he has also tried slipping through the fence, so a very attentive owner is a must. He’s great with older kids and other dogs, but not cat tested. I don’t think young kids will be the best fit for this mellow guy. He is still working on going potty outside and needs to go out often to avoid accidents. Someone that could be home with him often would be ideal. Will require regular grooming.

Shirley is a domestic short-haired black kitten. Shirley is fully vetted and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Shirley was treated for a skin issues and her Christmas wish is to not find her furrr-ever home.
Shirley is good with other cats, isn't bothered by our dog, and great with kids.
Her best home is one where you want to play with her and love cuddles. Shirley's daddy consists of playing hard (like kittens do), crashes for a long nap, and then repeats the process.
Shirley Temple's personality is a goofball. She loves to lay upside down on the perch of the kitten tree and each a paw to you while looking upside down. When she cuddles she lives to bury her face in the crook of your arm or lay upside down like a baby.
She has super soft black fur with a slight white, light gray undercoat and is beautiful.

If you have room in your heart and house, kittens do best on pairs and would love to be adopted with her sister Mimosa, but it is not required.

Kila is a beautiful 3-year-old Dalmatian searching for a loving family to call her own. Recently retired from breeding, she may be a little shy at first—but once she feels comfortable, her sweet and affectionate personality truly shines.

While Dalmatians are known for being high energy, Kila is more of a balanced girl. She’s athletic and playful when it’s time to move, yet perfectly content relaxing on the couch with her people. Don’t be fooled by her calm demeanor, though—she’s an impressive jumper and can clear gates in the blink of an eye!

Kila is housebroken and crate trained, although she strongly prefers being close to her humans. She sleeps quietly in her foster’s room and thrives on companionship. She’s currently working on leash skills, so a fenced yard is preferred, but not required for the right home.

She does well with other dogs of all sizes, has not been tested with cats or small children, and sports a gorgeous spotted coat that is low-maintenance and low-shedding. Kila is gentle, eager to please, and should excel with continued training!

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion with both playful and laid-back qualities, Kila may be the perfect fit!

Whiskey is a highly active, playful kitten- like most tabby kittens. He is super handsome with freckles on his nose. His whiskers are half white and half black. He had spots on some of his body and tummy.
He also craves attention, so he'd do best on a home where someone is home all the time, with a family, or to be adopted with another kitten so he had a playmate (he'd love to go with Tito- hint hint) but it's not a requirement.
Whisky loves feathers, lasers, and the balls with bells that move quickly. He also really loves climbing up you to sit on your shoulders and around your neck so he can literally stick his nose in your ear and purr. He also loves to be cradled like a baby.

Meet Keebler. He is 3 years old and about 8lbs. He has made so much progress since being rescued. He is now able to be pet and held. You have to be careful when handling him in the beginning, but the more he gets to know you,the better he is. He loves toys and playing with you! We are working on trying to get him to be more accepting of other dogs. He currently barks when he sees the other dogs in the house. He is not fully potty trained and not leash trained. He is currently used to living in a bedroom that is gated at the doorway. He is a fun little dog with tons of personality. He is pretty verbal with all of the funny noises he makes. He needs to have a fenced yard. He needs someone who is going to keep working with him so he can continue making progress. Keebler is hoping to find someone with a big heart that will give him his happy ending.

Sylvie is a beautiful mini golden with eyes that will melt your heart. She is a retired breeding Momma who is hesitant about home life but improving little by little each day. Sylvie has a sweet disposition and does not growl or show any aggression towards people or her foster siblings. She is very shy and tends to observe more than involve herself with others. She does love to be pet and is learning to play with dog toys.
Sylvie does not yet walk on a leash so she will require a fence. She will explore the yard and knows to pottie outside, but does have occasional accidents. She rides well in a car and did very well at bathtime. She was shaved not long before she was rescued by FTO, and waiting to see if she is smooth coated like a Golden or curly like a Poodle. She is a solid 33 pounds with short legs, similar to the build of a Corgi and has the cutest little trot.
Sylvie is needing a home where she can relax and learn how to be a spoiled and loved part of the family. She does well with kids and would likely benefit from another pup in the house but not required.

Locket is 3 years old and 9lbs. She is a fox terrier. She is quiet and gentle, and curious. She appreciates her 2nd chance. She takes baby steps each day towards a life that she can only dream of. She is cautiously optimistic, but hopeful nonetheless. She is super chill, but ready to step outside her comfort zone. She is fine with being crated, but doesn't need to be. She needs someone who will show her physical love and spoil her. She likes to walk and get fresh air, but doesnt need a lot of exercise.
What she needs is a strong bond, and someone that will make her a priority. She doesn't mind me changing her outfits until I find one I like. She is happy to live with other dogs, and just as cool being only dog. She is the best companion you could ever imagine. You never feel alone when she is in the room. She would love a home where she is allowed on the furniture.

Zoe is a 3-year-old Cocker Spaniel who is just beginning to discover what it means to feel safe, loved, and cherished. She is a gentle, sensitive soul who has quietly waited her whole life for someone to truly see her for the special girl she is.

Zoe is very timid and skittish, so she will thrive in a calm, patient home without small children. She has the instinct to flee and hide at loud sounds or sudden movements. She’ll need an experienced, understanding adopter who can continue helping her build confidence at her own pace. Having another small, confident dog in the home is a must as Zoe is learning how to “be a dog” by watching her foster siblings.

Right now, Zoe doesn’t know how to play with toys or give kisses, but she has already made beautiful progress. She’s gained the courage to come sit in your lap and soak up quiet snuggles, and those moments are incredibly special. With time, consistency, and love, her potential is endless.

Zoe does well in a crate, is learning how to eat and drink from a dog bowl, and has had zero accidents in the house when taken out on a regular schedule. She is still learning how to walk on a leash. She’s trying so hard, and her desire to trust is clear in everything she does ❤️.

Coco is a 3-year-old Cocker Spaniel who is still learning that the world (and the people in it) can be kind. She is very shy but beneath her quiet exterior is a sweet, sensitive girl who is trying very hard to learn how to trust.

Coco will need a calm, peaceful home with an experienced and patient adopter who understands that trust must be earned on her terms. She is not a dog who can be rushed. Coco chooses when and how she feels safe, and right now she will only accept pets when she is the one to approach you. But when she does, it feels like a small victory worth celebrating. Despite her shyness, Coco has made remarkable progress in a short amount of time. Each day, she grows a little braver, a little more curious, and a little more confident in her surroundings. Having another small, confident dog in the home is essential, as she learns best by watching her foster siblings and following their lead.

Coco is crate trained, continues to work on learning everyday “dog” routines, and is doing well with a consistent schedule. She may be quiet and reserved, but her progress speaks volumes about her resilience and potential. Coco is looking for a very special home that values patience, celebrates small milestones, and understands that the deepest bonds are often built slowly, one gentle moment at a time.

Our names are Josie (25 lbs) and Melody (19 lbs), and we’re a bonded pair of senior Sheltie ladies, 9 -10 years young. We’ve been together a long time, and our biggest wish is simple: a forever home where we can stay together.
We’re not the fast-moving, zoomie kind anymore—we prefer a quiet, cozy life with soft beds, gentle routines, and people who enjoy peaceful companionship. That said, we don’t like being alone. We’re happiest when we have each other and a loving human nearby.
We get along beautifully with other dog-friendly dogs, though we haven’t had a chance to meet cats yet. Walks are still a work in progress—Josie is learning the leash thing, and Melody is cheering her on—but we’d really love a fenced yard where we can safely sniff, explore, and enjoy the fresh air at our own pace.
Crates aren’t really our style, but we’re quite happy in a pen—as long as we’re together. After all, together is how we do everything.
Santa, we’re also proud to say we’re showing good signs of being house-trained (senior girls still have their dignity!), and we promise to bring nothing but calm, affection, and quiet joy into a home.
So if you know of a kind heart with room for two gentle souls, maybe you could sprinkle a little Christmas magic our way. We don’t need much—just love, patience, and a warm place to land.
The girls could use a dental but with that comes risks, so we decided against doing them. This can be discussed.

She is a sweet 6 year old, female, bully/lab mix with an infectious smile! Sammy is spayed and current with her vaccinations.

Just like people, Sammy has had a colorful past and her own personality. She has previously shown to be reactive to other dogs and cats and protective of her space/kennel. Sammy has made wonderful progress on being polite and sitting and waiting before meals and at the door before going in and outside. She is also excelling at slow introductions to others dogs outside of her kennel space.

There is such hope for Sammy. She wants to be the good girl, devoted companion, front seat riding "partner in crime."

At this time, it is recommended that Sammy be the only dog in the home, and with older children/teenagers who know how to respect a dog's boundaries.

Adopt Annie. Annie is a 7 year old Bernese Mountain dog who was adopted then returned to FTO as her owners felt she did not adjust well to their home. She is a cautious and timid Berner who came back to the rescue with a great deal of anxiety and constant digestive problems. Since her return, Annie has come along way with her social anxiety. She now takes long walks, no longer afraid of people walking by, bikes, or cars. She continues to startle to loud sounds or unexpected movements. Annie seeks attention, loves hugs and pets, comes when called and no longer hides in her crate as long as she is in a familiar environment with familiar people. She does well with other dogs as they so provide her comfort. House training is a struggle for Annie due to her continuous digestive problems.

Annie would do great in a calm home with someone that will allow her the time needed to trust and feel comfortable. They will need to have patience with her as she will probably always experience some times of digestive problems and will require special food and medications.

Adopt Hazel

Hazel was born with a heart condition called a PDA (patent ductus arteriosus). Thankfully she found her way to Freedom Tails Ohio and was able to undergo a successful heart surgery in November 2025. She’s doing great and behaves just as a typical puppy would! Energy, playful, snuggles and happiness.

Hazel would do best having another furry sibling to play with in her forever home. She loves toys and snuggles. She makes us laugh by plopping herself down and grumbling like a cranky old lady when laying down to rest.

A fenced in yard would be ideal to support her energy level. Hazel is a smart girl and is already potty trained and knows how to sit and lay down on command (very treat motivated😊). She will need an energetic family to keep her busy and help her learn all her manners.

Please note:
Hazel cannot be spayed until she’s a year old due to her heart history. She also has started her vaccine’s but is behind on them for her age due to her heart surgery.
