Bailey
Male
10 Months Old
Australian Shepherd
LEARN MORE
Hello I am Bailey, I was named Conoe when I first came to Freedom Tails Ohio with my brothers.
I was adopted, I was returned due to not fault of my own.
I love treats, prancing, running, playing, and following my humans everywhere!
I am great with adults, kids, other dogs.
I am told that I am sweet, intelligent, and incredibly social. I am a true Aussie puppies. I need exercise and stimulant due to I get board easily.
I will not only be happy to see you when you come home, I will also know you were late and need extra love.
I would love a fenced in yard to run around in but not necessary as long as adopter is committed to leash work and getting energy out.
Due to my energy and need to be around people and dogs, I need a playmate.
I currently have Gastroenteritis, I am doing much better. As long as I have my special food and do not eat poop in the yard, I will not vomit 😁
I come fully up to date on shots, neutered, and microchipped.

Beth
Female
4 Months Old
Toy Aussie
LEARN MORE
Say hello to the sweetest little puppy, Beth! Beth is a beautiful 4 month Toy Aussie weighing in at a whopping nine pounds. She has the softest brown and white fur and is not expected to exceed 20 pounds when full grown.
Beth has done well with everyone she has met and enjoys playing with her foster sibs, big and small. She loves belly rubs and play time but is just as happy chilling on the couch. She does love playing with toys and is so cute when she gets the zoomies!
This little snuggler does well in the car and on leash. She would do well with or without a fence as long as she is on leash. Beth was pretty timid when she first came and would belly crawl across the carpet. She is not doing it often now but when she does, she is fast and hard to catch.😋

Bruce
Male
12 Weeks Old
Australian Shepherd
LEARN MORE
Meet soon to be superhero Bruce (Batman!) He is a 12ish weeks, 10ish lbs tri-colored medium coat aussie boy who spent his first 8 weeks running amuck in a barn. Now in foster, Bruce is handsome, strong, and the peacekeeper of his superhero pack of 3. He has an in charge personality and lets them know when they get too rowdy. Bruce loves stealing all the toys and piling them in his bat cave. He is friendly and submissive with the foster house dogs. Bruce is an active herding breed, so he will need mental and physical activities to reach his super power potential.
Bruce had minimal contact with people as a baby and is shy, but warms up with gentle snuggles and treats. Since he is shy, older children and a house with a puppy tolerant dog and consistent schedule are recommended. Sleeps in his crate at night and while foster mom is at work and is progressing well with potty training. Not a fan of his harness and not walking on a leash yet. Needs a physical fenced yard due to his shy personality and being a possible flight risk. Has not yet met cats or kids. Neutered and up to date on age appropriate vaccinations.

Daphne and Faye
Female
6 Years Old and 4 Years Old
Bichons
LEARN MORE
Hello my future parents!!!
If adopted by you, double the joy and love from us.!
We are a mother, daughter pair highly dependent on each other.
Mama is 6 years, 14lbs, Bichon. Daphie.
Daughter is 4 years, 16lbs. Faye. You can tell the difference as Faye has no tail.
We were both breeding mama's , so very scared of hoomans!
Our new foster mom has been very good with us, let us take our time exploring the house, but always having the cage door open. It's our "safe place".
Daphie is more outgoing than Faye. Faye follows Daphies lead. They both go outside together, run around then when tired come back in on our own. They get along with my foster moms dogs and cats.
No food aggression shown, and love their food. When they hear me getting it ready they come into the kitchen to see if it's ready yet😊
They sleep quietly in their cage at night, door open
Doing very well with potty training, no accidents so far. Go out every couple of hours.
We are very slowly coming out of our "shell " but it's taking time, we can't help it thou. We had such a horrible life before this, scared of loud noises, bangs, loud voices. It's all new.
We definitely need a fenced in yard, and next step is to start walking on a leash. Not done that yet, too scared.
We have both been spayed, all shots, Rabies, Microchiped. We don't bark at all, just quiet.
What we are looking for
in a future mom and dad is someone with lots of love, patience and time so we can "bloom" into the very special dogs we can be.

Felix
Male
9 Months Old
Terrier Mix
LEARN MORE
Meet Felix! An adorable 9 month old Terrier Mix that is ready to be your adventure buddy. Felix came to us as an owner surrender when he was not getting along with one of the dogs in their pack. They tried for months to overcome and were devastated to make this decision but ultimately wanted what was best for Felix. Best guess from the family is the other dog’s anxiety / stress was a trigger for Felix.
In his former home, Felix was on acres of land and enjoyed pack walks and romping in the creek. He has been around horses, donkeys and chickens. While he does well with the horses and donkeys he is known to chase chickens! Aside from the one dog he was aggressive towards, he got along well with the other dogs in the pack, cats and children. His human sister was also beginning to work with him on some basic agility skills (tunnels, jumps), so we know he is very intelligent and highly trainable.
Felix can occasionally resource guard from other dogs when it is a high value treat, so it is easily managed. He is fed away from the other dogs and high value treats are reserved for his crate / separate space as well to avoid any issues.
In his foster home, Felix has gotten along perfectly with the resident dogs (became fast friends with the other playful puppy, respects the space of pack leader), cats and kids ages 4-12.
🐾 mostly dog friendly (see above)
🐾 kid friendly
🐾 cat friendly
🐾 crate trained
🐾 good on a leash
🐾 little to no barking!
🐾 ok in the car, a little nervous
🐾 potty trained when let out regularly
🐾 basic obedience (sit, fetch and release)
🐾 no chickens (chases)
Felix is available for adoption through Freedom Tails Ohio and is being fostered near Cincinnati.

Forky
Female
3 Years Old
English Bulldog
LEARN MORE
This butterball is Forky, a 3 year old, 66lb English bulldog. She jiggles like a bowl of jello when you approach her because she loves attention! She has done great with both kids and adults, but has not been tested around very small children.
She has made a lot of progress with potty training with regular trips outside. She's just super lazy, so you have to coax her out. She also gives walks zero stars, will stop often and look at you like you're torturing her. She's super motivated by both love and treats- you'll need to use both of you try a walk. Does well in a crate.
She isn't initially super friendly with new dogs who come into her space (she will growl). But if you correct the behavior and give her a couple days to adjust, she's fine. She currently lives with 3 other dogs, both big and small. Not cat tested.
After having a few seizures while in foster care, she was evaluated by a vet who believes she has epilepsy. She has started once daily medications and we are hopeful that will prevent or significantly reduce the frequency of her seizures.
This lazy, lovable girl is looking for her forever couch, with someone to give her lots of love and treats!

She currently sleeps on her fosters bed till it’s lights out at which time she moves to a crate in her fosters bedroom. She snores softly😴Hannah has 4 doggy friends at her fosters that have made her feel secure and taught her a lot. 🐾🐾She would do well with a laid back doggy sibling. Not tested with cats.
Hannah would do well with someone that is home a lot. She may be quite vocal if left alone until she is comfortable with her people, her routine and surroundings. She will benefit from a consistent routine and a good diet. She enjoys a little piece of alternate dog food as a treat. She is physically fit and is looking forward to learning more about the world outside of her caged beginnings. Hannah has been spayed, had a dental with a few extraction’s and is up to date on shots.

Henri
Male
1.5-2 Years Old
Toy Poodle
LEARN MORE
Sweet baby Henri is a 1.5-2 year old toy poodle. He is 7 pounds of love. Henri came to us with a broken leg which was repaired at Med vet and he has recovered well. His leg is still a little wonky in shape but he is using it more and more daily. He is neutered and microchipped and will soon be fully vaccinated.
Henri has some bad habits but his undeniable happiness makes up for it. He always is happy and playful and loving.
He is a serial leg lifter so he is getting use to wearing a belly band and is being worked with to try and kick the habit.. His family would need to understand his behaviors going into this as some times this habit can’t be kicked. He also does try and eat “stuff” socks, towels, little whatever’s he can find on the floor so his perfect home would not have small children and would be able to keep a watchful eye on his habits. Since being in our care he has been taken to the ER twice for eating things so you must be prepared for this awful habit. He does well with redirecting with his chew toys and as long as he has them he doesn’t go on his little scavenger hunts. He will Need watched around the clock.
He loves his toys and loves other dogs. He will need a fence bc he does not do well on a leash just yet. He is more interested in biting it and chewing on it then walking on it.
He will need regular grooming as he has tight beautiful curls and fast growing hair. He loves to be brushed and sits well for grooming.
